Soorarai Pottru is one of the most highly anticipated films, and Suriya has put some efforts to achieve great success. Soorarai Pottru’s Producers has planned to release the film in January 2021. Also, they have planned to release the trailer of the film in December 2020 and to begin the promotions only a month ahead of the release. But there might be a change in the release date of ‘Soorarai Pottru’ if the pandemic is brought under control before that.
The film is based on events and struggles of Air Deccan founder G. R. Gopinath, Which will be produced by Suriya’s production house, 2D Entertainment with Guneet Monga of Sikhya Entertainment as the co-producer.
Soorarai Pottru was expected to be released on August 15, 2020, coinciding on Independence Day. The makers of the film announced that the film will be dubbed in Kannada. The film was scheduled to release on 9 April 2020, but postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
