Shah Rukh Khan’s production house Red Chillies Entertainment has launched the trailer of their upcoming film, Class of 83. The film still shows Bobby Deol as an IPS officer as he addresses a gathering of policemen at an event. He sports a moustache in the first look.

Sharing official Red Chillies Entertainment account wrote, “A dean who’s a class apart, quite literally! Meet @iambobbydeol in #ClassOf83, our first @netflix_in film. Directed by @atulsanalog and produced by @gaurikhan & @_gauravverma.”

Class Of 83 revolves around an upright policeman Kabir (Bobby Deol), whose students grapple with the complexities of honour, morals and devotion towards their nation. It also stars Annup Sonii, Ninad Mahajani, Hitesh Bhojraj, Bhupendra Jadawat, and Sameer Paranjape. And directed by Atul Sabharwal, the film is based on Hussain Zaidi’s book with the same title – Class Of 83′.

Class Of ’83 is all set to premiere on Netflix on 21 August 2020. The Bollywood actor Bobby Deol announced the release date on his Twitter account on Thursday morning with a brand new poster featuring himself in his onscreen persona, also revealing that the trailer will be dropped on Friday. Class Of ’83 is the story of a dedicated policeman turned police instructor Vijay Singh, whose trainees find themselves conflicted with concepts such as honour and devotion. “It’s not which side you are fighting for, it’s what you are fighting against,” Bobby Deol wrote. Class Of ’83 film also marks Bobby Deol’s digital debut on OTT platform.

Talking about the film, Bobby Deol had told in a interview last year, “I have been in the industry for a long time and I have known Shah Rukh for years. He is a great guy and I am happy he is producing the project. He himself is very dedicated to his work and being part of his production is amazing as he makes sure no stone is left unturned to make a good project.”

A number of movies and shows have launched their trailers on some last weeks. Class of 83, the third project to come out of the Netflix- Red Chillies Entertainment collaboration, will release on 21 August.
